ส่วนประเด็นที่ขอให้ กกต.ชี้แจงนั้น เป็นเรื่องเกี่ยวกับการตรวจสอบคุณสมบัติความเป็น ส.ส.ของ ร.อ.ธรรมนัส เมื่อครั้งลงสมัครรับเลือกตั้งว่าได้มีการตรวจสอบจริงหรือไม่ ซึ่งสำนักงาน กกต.แจ้งว่าการตรวจสอบมีทั้งสิ้น 16 หน่วยงาน แต่ไม่มีสำนักงานตำรวจแห่งชาติ (สตช.) และสำนักงาน ปปส.ร่วมตรวจสอบคุณสมบัติด้วย จึงถือว่าทำให้การตรวจสอบคุณสมบัติ ส.ส.ยังไม่ทั่วถึง และ กกต.ก็ให้คำตอบที่ไม่ชัดเจน ดังนั้นคณะกรรมาธิการฯ จึงมีมติเชิญเลขาธิการ กกต.มาให้ข้อมูลอีกครั้ง
